Project idea

The history of kfardebian ( a district in Lebanon ) values ​​" Al Salib Valley ” as being the most inhabited and the most active space at the beginning of the 1613s, and later turns into an abandoned site, so how can we revive this rich site and attract people to come back?
Al salib Valley was known for its rich and bountiful land and a destination for the inhabitants of the villages and surrounding areas to buy vegetables, fruits and products.
The old town was abandoned, leaving behind ruins and important historical monuments. The inhabitants of the valley therefore left to settle in height, in the current villages of Kfardebian.
Al salib Valley becomes an abandoned site visited only for spring and sport activities.

Project description

In order to bring this rich and abandoned site to life, (between present and past) architectural interventions are offered at the entrance of the valley and in the valley, with the aim of returning to the roots and reconnect people with Nature through architecture and design. Harmonization between nature and architecture, Inspire from an organic element present in the valley nature "Pine trees".
Architecture: adding several organic elements to having several levels. Creating several architectural elements, a simple vertical construction.

This valley deserves an ecotourism experience worthy of the environment, built from materials that adapt to the structure of nature, resulting in an architecture that blends perfectly with nature.

4 Important interventions are proposed.
Each intervention has a specific and different function from the other.
and several small interventions are scattered in the valley having an observation element function only.
The other 4 interventions are distributed in the heart of the valley. Their functions differ between an education center on the nature of the valley, a spa to relax in this nature, an organic restaurants and a research center which is based on the research of nature and a sport center.
Every interventions offer on the upper floors, rooms for rent to the visitors, to spend days in this valley and enjoy the activities that are offered.
As for the last floor of each intervention, offer an observation function, so visitors can observe the wonderful nature in the valley.
