Project idea

The idea was to design a small gallery in Prague park Stromovka. The gallery is ment to hold exibitions mainly during the summer adn be a nice addition to the park.

Project description

I wanted the gallery to fit in the park, so I hid most of the gallery to the ground and added grass roof to blend even more to the surroundings. Main source of daylight are skylights which i pointed to nort as this brigsmost even light to inside as this is really important for gallery. I also added a window to a side beacous e I didn't want the gallery to fell claustrophobic, so people can make better contact with outside. The skylights are from bare concrete and have different sizesand are supoesed to act as field of statues.

Technical information

Gallery is from reinforced concrete with wood paneling around the topground part . Most of the gallery is in the ground with grass roofing. Interiors are all white as I didn't want the building itself to be as clean and unobstructive as possible.
