Project idea

Description
Conceptional project of revaluation postindustrial areas in Jastrzębie-Zdrój in Poland.
Main aim of the project was to transform postindustrial areas throughout increasing visual and functional qualities at the same time maintaining the nature of the place.
Project has to meet inhabitant's expectations in terms of cultural, historical and ecological aspect.

Project description

Project consists of multifunctional pitch , various playgrounds, outdoor gym, pergola, technical background with toilet and many spaces for meetings and recreation.

Technical information

Very important aspect of the project was appropriate fitting in existing terrain. I was looking for solution to take advantage of it rather than interfer in it and make it level.

Slight slopes that were previously overgrown and neglected became colorful flourishing meadow or are natural green stands where everyone can sit or lie on it.

Whole project contributes to sustainable growth with sollutions like:
-water retention system
-increasing amount of trees and biologically-active surface
-new native plantings, meadows that are easy to maintain
-Birches get toxins out of the soil (poindustrail area where the coal was storaged)
-Materials used for small architecture are local.
