Project idea

The aim of the project was to design a versatile house for four-member family in Prague 9 - Kyje, in yet uninhabited residential plot, to which an urban planning of the new project of detached houses has been created.

Project description

The ground plan of this construction is consisted from two main matters, each one suitably divides functions of the housing. The solid material for „cycle-point“ and garage is in contrast with the lightweight material intended for living. On the first floor of the dwelling unit there is a vitreous area orientated to the garden, hence the garden is regarded as a part of the interior.

The main purpose was designed comfortable family housing and make the best use of the advantages of the location and concurrently with the new housebuilding to establish a unique district of family houses appositely connected with the existing built-up area.

Technical information

The construction of the family house is made of sand-lime bricks and reinforced concrete. The second floor is complemented with perforated corten panels.
