Project idea
Welcome to the theatre where the sounds and music shape the physical world, welcome to the Soundwaves! The architecture spreads around just like the sound coming from the theatre itself.
Project description
The project strives to use only or as much as possible naturally available materials and provide a shelter against the harsh Sahel climate. The major materials introduced within the project are soil, bamboo and straw. Soli is used for the walls, bamboo for the structure carrying the roof made of straw.
Technical information
There are several passive design strategies applied within the project interesting the thermal comfort. All the buildings are ventilated naturally using ancient techniques based on the air pressure difference.
