The project area is located on the edge of a stream with sports complexes far from the center of the city. For connecting the facilities and the project, a green road ax was created in the abandoned area. In this way, not only a peaceful area was created but also dynamicity was requested to participate in the project. The greenery was used not only outside, but also in the gallery area inside the building and on the terraces as hobby gardens. it is planned to connect not only visually but also physically with the environment and nature. The main aim is that- the elderly should be actively involved in social life, not just as spectators. Serving another insufficient nursing home, which is close to the project area is among the aims of the project.
The project was taken to the side of the creek to have a visually and physically connection with it. To avoid division in the circulation, the middle part of the project left empty on the ground level. With the pedestrian axle taken into the project area, an inviting and safe atmosphere has been created. Greenery has not only remained on the ground floor, but a hobby garden is also located to +4.5 level, which is used as an activity level (painting, sculpting, music, etc. workshops). Additionally, a winter garden is located in the gallery space with the ramp around it. The bedrooms are located at the +9.00 level that has also library and sport hall programs. Activity rooms, common living room, and bedrooms are located on the southern front to make greater use of the sun, unlike mezzanine floors. Mezzanine floors ( +7.5, +10.50 levels) have been created for service areas and positioned on the north façade, which is the rear façade of the project. The circulation between the floors has been solved by a common vertical circulation. The height of the design was kept the same as the surrounding buildings, about 14 meters.
The reinforced concrete system with round columns (d=50 cm) is designed for project construction. The curtain wall system is planned to be used on the facade to benefit from the sun more. Epoxy covering is preferred for sound insulation on the grounds of common areas. Wooden floor covering is used in private areas. ( bedrooms, manager room, etc.) For the walls, the gas concrete, which is advantageous in terms of insulation and labor, is preferred. Ceramic coating was used on the floors and walls in wet spaces. According to the hierarchy of the spaces, the use of suspended ceilings is planed. Insulation details are drawn and explained on a scale of 1/50 in the drawings.
