Clay pot concept referred to the project context. In fact the pots are a modern explanation of domes which identify the traditional context architecture. The colorful pots lead the school to be an interactive space for kids. The combination of ochre pots with colorful pots creates poetic and fantasy ambient environment.
Sustainable concept
Increasing the roof height emphasized on natural ventilation, and improved the thermal comfort in height of sitting person in hot and arid zones. The clay pot concept with hollow at the top, caused adequate ventilation in the building.
Descending the building in the ground is also improved the climate condition in sunken garden and declines total year energy consumption and wind turbulence. Using thermal mass of walls and vernacular materials is responded to our sustainable concept.
The primary school educational program called for a comprehensive primary school supporting an enrollment of 150 students in grades 7-12. The bulk of the academic programming offered in two ‘academies’ in a pair of nearly identical 1-story academies part- The porch of classes that feature a flexible learning spaces bathed in natural light and stimulated curious with hollow brick walls design.
Empowering Creativity with space diversity
Our goal was to ensure that learning happens all the time…anywhere. The library learning environment includes flexible learning spaces, community partnerships, personalized learning paths, and real world work. This kind of room furnishing leads to create a sense of being.
The school’s goal for all learners to become expert learners and as a part of this community they have the opportunity to be active in their own learning process. Children seek to understand how they learn best and begin to design own learning opportunities, scaffolding experiences to provide purpose and drive for learning.
One of the main project approach is creating and interactive kids play by using the colorful component and the small proportion which are fit to the kids world.
The porch of classes that feature a flexible learning spaces bathed in natural light and stimulated curious with hollow brick walls design. The hollow brick wall not only lead to stimulate kids curiosity, but also give us the delight of exploring different aspect gradually.
The pot hollow at the top beside providing a delicate and poetic glance, cause to air circulation in space. We consider to cover the pot hollow with some bonnets, to prevent the infiltration, rain drops into the building in winter.
