YOUTHS IN ASIA
The idea of the “Asian Youth Centre Become” evokes the wish of Asian Youth to listen at the needs of its Youth and of the entire world. Why Asia? What Asians Youth needs? Where Youth goes? The design proposal aims to answer the current needs and tendencies, promoting a place for cultural awareness and interaction.

“Nothing to do” was the foremost concern among Asian rural youth and the second most prominent concern among Asian urban youth.

Another major Asian youth concern is
“Respect/being heard.”

Project description

The site is almost ready for construction with separate entry/access from road. Almost a plain land and with less vegetation, which might get advantages in environmental clearance from authority. It has got a beautiful view of lake and hills. Future extension can be added to the other hill sides with minimum infrastructure development. This Youth Centre located here can become a park of the sea world and existing accommodation facilities. It is nearest from Dhaka – Chittagong high way. The site is north south elongated and the lake is visible from the north–east to south-west side. All the major attractions and openings should be towards the lake, there remains a chance for glare in the noon and afternoon, so use of sun breaker or verandas in front of the rooms may be a better solution. Near the lake wind flows from the lake to the ground during day time, and during the night vice versa, so the building can be north south elongated and west facing. The maximum water level of this area varies from 26-27 meter, so the building should be above it.
