Project idea

At the moment, there is a great need for the development of industry, the implementation of new technologies in production, the training of new qualified personnel. The idea of the project is to create a modern technopark of the bio-chemical industry, which will become a place of attraction for a huge number of people, not only scientists, but also ordinary visitors. The project provides large exhibition areas and public spaces. This topic is on the front burner for a given design space, because this territory has a large scientific base for the development of this industry. Next to the projected territory there are scientific-research faculties and laboratories of St. Petersburg State University (research institute of biology, institute of chemistry, student campus and etc .). On the basis of Technopark’s research center it is supposed to hold scientific and educational activities, conduct seminars and open lectures for students and professionals.
Also the territory is very picturesque. Technopark will be located on the shores of the Finnish Gulf surrounded by a large number of parks and architectural monuments. I think this project will provide more of an accelerant to the fire the territory around the technopark, will expand the tourist route of the Peterhof complex to the west. This can contribute to the restoration and reconstruction of architectural monuments, nearby, which are now in desolation (Benoa's dacha, Leichtenberg's palace, the cottage of Tsarevich Alexander Nikolaevich).

Project description

I designed the Technopark in Peterhof, to the west of the well-known tourist complex (within the bounds of the Oranienbaum highway from the south, bounded from the north by the Finnish gulf).
Corresponding to the theme of my technopark, I wanted to create a soft bionic architecture, a simple and concise complex that does not argue with the natural landscape. I think I managed to make an interesting and uncomplicated form and express the theme of my technopark.
Complex of my technopark consists of 4 pavilions, which connect each other with a massive roof. It visually collects the entire composition of the complex. The facades of the technopark have been solved laconically, the continuous glazing is framed by repeated rhythmic details-columns.

Technical information

Сonstruction is surrounded by a forest. In the south, the main recreational functions are located: the space between the highway and the technopark accommodates walking areas, the main square and an artificial reservoir. On the embankment of the Finnish Gulf there is a square for coworking and also walking areas. Recreation areas are also designed between the buildings. Along the facade are lawns with benches, in the center - an amphitheater for public performances.
On the composition scheme, I indicated the main axes and nodes that form the volume of the building. The idea of shaping is a single volume, cut into 4 parts, forming an internal space and a main square.
On the scheme of functional zoning, it is possible to see the division of the complex according to functions: the eastern corps is given for production, the south-western building carries an administrative function, the scientific function is given to the northwest. Inside, the space and territory in the south are occupied by public spaces.
The transport scheme shows the main thoroughfares, marked the path of pedestrian traffic. They do not intersect and interfere with each other. In the south of the territory there is the main highway (Oranienbaum Highway). Arrivals for service parking and parking for visitors are dispersed; a fire passage is organized around the entire complex of buildings.
Large area of the industrial park is landscaped. A greater percentage of it is the existing landscap, and artificial plantings are also organized on the territory (these are places in the south and north of the buildings). A distinctive feature of the technopark in the greened roof, which is organized on each building. In the north-east there is a water object, namely the Finnish Gulf, water installation is also organized on the main pedestrian area.
