Project idea

he city of Chile, Viña del Mar is characterized by being a sports and tourist city, It is even touted to the world as: '' Viña del Mar, La ciudad del deporte ''. Sports activities are mainly done on the coastal edge of the city, where it is conquered by the urban sports culture that evolves and mutates with the city through time.

DU PARK (URBAN SPORT PARK) comes to materialize the sport activities in the coastal edge, building a place for the concentration, development and training of urban athletes 24/7 with extended hours for citizens. In addition the project is contemplated of public character that fulfills the function of a great labeling piece that delivers connection on the coastal border between the Playa del Deporte and the Salinas. On the other hand the project DU PARK is fundamental for a transformation and evolution of tourism and mobility of the city, transforming it into the City of Sport in Chile.

Project description

DU PARK is made up of different urban infrastructures that respond to the specific sport needs of the place that are tied together through the public space, creating the new coastal edge and sports marker center of the city.
The project divides into the following centers:

-Skate Park and urban sports gallery (commercial and economic area of ​​mobility sliding on wheels)
-Counter center (sports climbing area, Boulder, world of trampolines)
- Center of Sport Fishing (Refuge, restaurant and spot of the sport fishing club)
- Nautical center (swimming pools, surf sector, maritime museum, rent of kayaks and classes of diving)

Each center has sustainable strategies to tie itself to the environment in a natural way.

Technical information

SUSTAINABLE PROPOSAL

BIODIGESTOR
Digestion of organic waste by its own decomposition in heat generating biogas, an alternative for energy consumption.

SUPPLY HARVEST
The slope will be used to generate Inca cultivated terraces that will be irrigated and fertilized with the products obtained from the Tohá system. It will be used to supply the restaurant of the park, becoming an edible landscaping.

REUSING WATER AND SEWAGE:
System Tohá water is collected used to pass a pump which dilutes pressure all solids, the liquid is sprayed onto a chamber filled with sawdust and Californian worms, those powered from this generating waste Useful organic: humus and water rich in minerals. These resources will be used to nourish the cultivated terraces.

WATER DESALINATION:
process in which sea water is extracted to transform them into fresh water and service water use in showers, bathrooms, swimming pool, among others. To achieve reverse osmosis, where salt water is pressed through a semipermeable membrane becoming freshwater and brine that is returned to the sea is concerned.
