The challenge was to create temporary structures
for homeless accommodation by natural disasters and other reasons
like fires, mudslides, and evictions of buildings, endowed with environmental
comfort conditions for habitability with quality, safety and
minimal energy consumption possible.
A natural disaster is something that not always can be avoided. It's our responsibility as architects provide a comfortable, secure and healthy location to relocate all victims in different situations.
"Cockleboat" was conceived as a global solution to emergency situations, using the same techniques used to built boats. The Glass fiber design is strong, durable, reusable and easily transportable. Furthermore, we took into consideration environmental comfortable using natural wind and light. The idea is to provide a temporary, reliable and safe space to the people.
