New York is not an exception. According to real estate services, average price is 1426$ per square foot. It’s so high because of bidding up land prices and high construction costs. Also there is logistics problem because it is hard to deliver building materials to Manhattan island.
So, there is no affordable housing in New York. It is one of the most actual problem.

Project description

To reduce a lot of factors and solve availability crisis in New York i created project that fits any place. The affordable house can be placed to available space anywhere in the city. It is structure assembled from rails with intermodal container cells. All of the components are very cheap and easy to find and deliver.
Thanks to cellular construction type the building can take place between any houses. Container amount and their combination depends on demand. You can add or remove some living cells in case of need. Mirror panels based on the container reflect light and buildings around, keeping city view the same. It allows project to suit any surrounding.

First container floor is 4 meters above the ground. Construction is modular, it will speed up building process, also it need fewer workers and machines. Container cells are mounted to rail construction in minimal time. Construction does not change the infrastructure, people and cars can go through without any problem. Also it helps to save trees.

There are a lot of cells combination. It allows make apartment suitable for each person and family. Apartment owners get to their property using elevator. Elevator moves by the rails left, right, up and down.
