Architectural proposal for ¨Ruta del Cafe¨ National museum in Esteli, Nicaragua is presented as the culmination work of architecture studies. The issue arises from the desire of the author to contribute with ideas to the architectural language of the country developing a typology that contributes to the economic and cultural growth.
The idea is to develop a center that will serve as a basis for cultural and cientific development; the catch being it can also be open-minded and help create new forms of communication between user’s activities and the museum itself.
The study focused on developing a proposal adapted to the area, a reading of environmental and cultural characteristics, preliminary studies dictate the guidelines of the final design to create a single building based on the search for identity, kind of a contemporary vernacular style.
Thus the priority was integration into the environment, to fully respect the natural environment, combining different kinds of architectural programs to erase the line between built space and natural space.
The work tries to break the traditional schemes of the country and become a canvas where the user decides the meanings of the different architecture expressions.
The design contains the master plan of the project.
