From time immemorial the starry sky fascinated people with its mystery and inaccessibility. In my opinion, this topic is actual and in our time, despite such a global breakthrough in the development of outer space, scientists do not cease to open something new. The theme of my project is the Exhibition Pavilion: History of Astronomy of the City of Rostov-on-Don. The work was done on the site of G.Sedov Square, where I previously performed an open space, namely the aeronautical station (mooring for the airship) for the image of which was taken the North Star, always indicating the sailor's way to the North. Sedov knew perfectly the map of the starry sky, and was an honorary member of the Russian astronomical society. To maximally synchronize both projects, for the image of the pavilion, I took a hit wave formed during the collision of the star with the surface of the Earth.
The pavilion is intended for exhibitions devoted to the theme of astronomy and the study of outer space. It includes: cafe, tambour, vestibul, wardrobe, wc, info-zona, cash-zona, staff room, administration area and show room. The pavilion is surrounded by a park zone, and is part of the station for an airship. The airship allows people to cross to the other side of the Don River. Climbing up into the air people can watch the entire park is subordinated to a single image and concept.
Outside, the pavilion is a set of dynamic elements resembling a blast wave, but inside the pavilion there is one large hall. The entrance to the pavilion is below the ground level, led to the stairs which are located in a circle, the entire corridor is well lit by skylights . The station for the airship also serves as a dome structure, consisting of a farm. Its design has openings so that people can admire the beauty of the river Don.
