High School at Murree, Islamabad, Pakistan

Project idea

Based and inspired from the work of Tadao Ando, playing with light and shadows, light reflectors walls and light wells.
A school should a place where everyone see there future bright enough.

Project description

Project Site:
Pakistan, Murree, Islamabad
200 student high school with max 30 teachers
Should be based on the work of three great architects or any one of them.
1: Louis I. Kahn, 1901-1974
2: Tadao Ando
3: Mario Botta
i choose Tadao Andoa inspiration as a main tool for the project and some of construction elements from Louis I. Kahn.

Technical information

The School is planned on the high point on the mountain, which is accessible from the main road so that the student can easily access the school. Next, they school has tremendous view of the lower land which is full of natural landscaping.
Temperature normally ranges from 26 degree to minimum to -2 degree so i didn't make much openings in the school but for passive heating i give direct windows for the sunlight of south side.
View, reflectors walls, opens spaces and interaction points will create a soothing effect on the student, leading them to achieves their goals for the future.
