This design is a trade kiosk combined with urban farming located on the sidewalk and functioned for rest area for road users. The concept of this design is from the formation of pyramid, with the formation can be produced efficient design in terms of agriculture because it can have more planting land maximal by means of vertical planting, vertical planting medium that can be used as a ladder for harvesting and for treatment.

Project description

Almost all major cities in Indonesia have experienced the phenomenon of Urban Heat Island, which means that the air temperature in the area has increased and exceeds the average temperature. Urban Heat Island occurs in highway vehicles, due to the absence of green open space and high levels of carbon monoxide. Therefore, this design is designed to reduce the impact of Urban Heat Island and can be applied in all roads in Indonesia.
Green spaces in urban areas is increasingly reduced, due to rampant land conversion and development. This causes an increase in the temperature of outer space and reduced oxygen levels. So the design is designed to increase the green space or reforestation in the urban area by utilizing the existing space and does not require a field to plant crops that serve as shelter and oxygen producers so that urban road spaces can be more comfortable.
This design can improve the economic quality of the city, because with this design, people can utilize the media and plants available for processing and distributed for sale. When processed then the economic activity on the sidewalk area that was not there to be crowded. The existing kiosks also take advantage of the city's agricultural produce to be processed and sold.
This design is not only a medium of buying and selling, and the addition of green open space, but the design that is in urban areas and dense population as well as dense users of these vehicles can also provide environmental education or environmental education to the local community. This includes how to preserve the environment, plant and process the results.

Technical information

This design is built on a 10 x 12 meter plot of land. With this measure, there are 8 stalls for kiosks with the size of 2.5 x 3 meters, and the road circulation width of 6 meters. This design uses a hollow frame as its structure, and bamboo as a growing medium, using this material, then the design can be moved and rebuilt on another site, also can be developed with the same module.
