Mountaineering center

Project idea

Armenia has a lot of mountains and perfect landcsapes for extreme sports. The project aims to create a mountaineering center which would be integrated in its landscape perfectly and would develop the extreme sports in Armenia in the near future.

Project description

The Mountaineering Center is located in Armenia, near Ashtarak. The center is designed for people who love extreme sports, as there are unfortunately no such centers in Armenia nowadays. Armenia is the perfect place to develop this tourism industry.
The center consists of 2 campuses: one is the main campus which includes e.g. facilities, entertainment, etc. and the other one is placed above the main corpus. The upper corpus is the hotel area with the hotel rooms, laundry, room for staff as well as a great mountain view.
The entrance is from the main corpus, where rooms, reception, administrative parts are located. In the centre there's an atrium and a circled ramp which leads to the story below where a cafe and a restaurant are located with their kitchen area. Below it there's the open-air pool and a playing room. Below that there's a big hall where a natural part of a rock is placed inside of the interior, for preparations for mountaineering, it has its needed equipments. There are two terraces that allow people to go outside and look at the nature.
From both sides of the center there are staircases which lead to the upper corpus and the lower stories of the main corpus.
