Project idea

Ngampon village, Mojosongo, is widely known in Solo City as one of the best quality bird cage production centers in the Central Java and surrounding markets. Ngampon village is a cage of bird craftsmen since 1985. This village was once a residential area with a high crime rate. The city of Surakarta has an economic development program through MSMEs one of which is the development of the potential of MSMEs in bird cage crafts in Ngampon village and the improvement of cooperative functions. Participatory approaches and community involvement are needed to create more targeted village development directions and are part of the process of strengthening the social institutions of the community. There are several main points of problems in this village. The lack of space to work, the house is used as a place to live as well as work space. There is no bamboo storage room that is safe from the weather. Even to get together and socialize, they hitchhike on other people's vacant lots. The community wishes to have a space for meetings, showrooms and safe play spaces for their children. By identifying potentials, finding space-related solutions in the village, and designing design strategies
real so that it can improve the quality of living space as a space of creativity, economic space, and the true meeting room and the actualization of citizenship
