The show area comprises of the renewed amphitheater, the art zones, play zones, restaurant, cinema and gaming room, green areas with benches.
The main purpose of the art zones is to facilitate entertainment though art and African culture. They will give youngsters of Burkina Faso a place to express their true talents through art forms such as drawing, painting and local craftsmanship.
It can host art festivals and traditional ceremonies where diverse African cultures will have chance to meet and perform.
Within this area, young craftsmen will sell both local and non-local crafts and benefit of the chance to make a living from their artistic skills.

Technical information

Rammed earth will be implemented for a wide variety of applications, from cast in-situ benches to wall construction and flooring.

In regards to the walls, the use of sandwiched rammed earth partitions, separated by a cavity, will increase thermal insulation during the day while giving back the stored energy during the night.
Additionally, in order to reduce sun exposure and increase shading while generating a dynamic atmosphere, the south-east and south west facades of the newly designed buildings are Jali walls.

Bamboo culms have been used in form of shading devices over the art zones.

Solar panels located behind the amphitheater will generate enough electricity to run the night activities.

The newly designed buildings exploit natural cross-ventilation to keep the rooms cool and comfortable. Underneath every window a small inlet allows air inside, while the hot air is expelled though outlets embedded in the wooden ceiling.

It was important to respect nature. For this reason every single existing tree has been maintained while new ones have been planted, mainly in places behind the play zone and the educational building.

No fancy nor expensive technologies are needed for the construction of Amphithéâtre de Révolutionnaire, so that local labours can be employed, saving costs and giving jobs to locals.
