Preservation is having a good sense to hold on to beautiful and meaningful things that link us to our past in a meaningful way. As time changed the need for various types of spaces diminishes. Those buildings whose subject is no longer required become a subject of abandonment. One of the possible lifeline of these buildings is Adaptive reuse. An amalgamation of users occurs when the adaptive reuse is carried out making a more vibrant environment.
Bedi Mahal is a 200 year old residential building where Bedi Family of religious importance lived. It played an important role in social and political gatherings of Sikhs, Muslims and Hindus of the entire Potohar plateau.
