Project idea

the built environment is increasingly responsible for environmental problems with waste, materials, energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from built-up human-made frameworks. It is becoming increasingly clear that change needs to be made in the way the built environment is created.
And in this respect, there are certifications and environmental labels that have given us everything we need.

So what are we waiting for?
In addition, there are many real and palpable problems in our education system. And in my opinion the big obstacle of this country is the lack of knowledge sharing.

Universities are par excellence the perfect place to sculpt and exchange this knowledge. But the academic structures in the underdeveloped countries are designed on outdated models and unsuited to our reality.

So I tried to bring the reflection with this architecture on the start of a path to set up a Learning Center of the campus Tunis El-Manar, with the hope that our country will enter the development dynamic of the university education system

Project description

The Learning Center represents an emerging typology of the future library, as an entity that evolves over time towards a dematerialized knowledge and constantly permeated by technology and media. As a result, this project reflects this evolution by creating three emerging volumes of a subtly integrated entity in the landscape. As this new mutation of the library is induced by the fact that "the only way to preserve the knowledge is to make them evolve.
I wanted to create an architecture that holds to the ground and yet manifests itself
vigorously.
