The main idea of the project is the reconstruction of the existing stadium, which is only for a public skating now. There can't be organized any ice hockey matches, because of a noise spreading to the surroundings and little space around. So the main assignment of this work was redesign the building for a curling and mini hockey for children tournaments or public skating.
My project of a new winter stadium Bronzová is situated in Bronzová street, in Prague 13. There are multi-storey apartment buildings in this location. Northeast of the stadium there is located a primary school and in the south, there is the underground. The main purpose of this new design are the sport activities as curling and mini hockey or public skating. The other functions are commercial areas, spaces to rent, restaurant, clubrooms for the above mentioned primary school or the youth ice-hockey teams. The new-designed stadium has expanded and got new face.
Main construction is made of reinforced concrete, the peripheral wall is designed as aerated concrete blocks with mineral insulation and sheet metal facing in colour of gold-brownish. Roof cladding is formed with the sandwich panels and carried with the wooden glued trusses. Major part of the wooden trusses are used from the original stadium, but they are extended. On the ground floor there is a technical background of the whole building and parking. On the second floor, there are commercial areas, spaces to rent, the ice rink, dressing rooms and others. The third floor contains the restaurant, grandstands, clubrooms, spaces to rent. The last floor, there are three rooms for rent.
