Project idea

ABOUT AIR TAXI : An air taxi is a small commercial aircraft which makes short flights on demand.

SKYPORT: Sky-port is a cross between modern day transit infrastructure which can be found in every major city. Here, special air taxi will pick up / drop off passengers who need to quickly get from one part of the city to another. This sky port does not need a long runway, and they can be located on the roofs of buildings or on special sites in the city center.
In the world of business, time is money. It seems like the faster you can get something done, the faster it has to get done. Even vacationers want to get to their destination as quickly as possible. Since aviation is a major player in the game of modern transportation, many are looking at ways to improve how planes and airports work. One concept has been the use of "air taxis" - smaller planes that can take passengers between local airports upon request, bypassing the traffic and delays of major airports.

BENEFITS : save time , less air pollution, less noise pollution, access to remote areas, reduce load on other transportation system, etc

THE IDEA: 1) ORDER A TAXI THROUGH APP
2) GO TO THE NEAREST SKYPORT
3) PASSENGER WILL BOARD THE TAXI
4) TAXI WILL FLY TO ITS DESTINATION
5) DROP OFF PASSENGER TO ITS DESTINATION

Project description

TRAFFIC PROBLEMS IN INDIA:
On average, travelers in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Kolkata spend 1.5 hours more on their daily commutes than their counterparts in other
Asian cities during peak traffic times. In fact, peak-hour congestion, which implies the additional time taken during peak traffic to travel given distance, in these four Indian cities is estimated at 149%, much higher than the Asian average of 67%.

UBER SKYPORT: The project is a transit hub with back office and Uber office included.

THE SITE : The site is located in the electronic city of Bangalore where air taxi service is much needed and currently there is a service of helicopters from electronic city to airport which is done through helicopters. According to the data of 2019 Bangalore is the most congested city in the world.

CONCEPT:
The philosophy of sky port was inspired from two main concepts that are Concepts of spaces and concept of form.
CONCEPT OF SPACES
The concept is such that the structure depicts the city of garden and hi-tech city. Introducing green spaces and water body making the structure lively and Well segregated. Incorporating plaza as green space giving structure the foreground
CONCEPT FOR FORM -
The main idea was to give a free flowing nature that would stand out and give a strong visual identity to the city making it more iconic as the transportation network is going in third dimension. The design development started by spreading the structure making it elevate in all 4 direction and giving a complete journey for the passengers travelling.
