Project idea

The idea of our project is to restore the importance of this territory in the significance of the city, provide comfortable conditions for spending time with its target audience, as well as attract new users, support the natural framework of this quarter, increasing its plant diversity.

Project description

Context:
The place is located in the city center on the main street of pedestrian traffic, nearby there are many places of educational, cultural and entertainment nature (school, technical school, sports school, cinema, theater, cafe, coffee shop and more). Due to its location it is popular not only among local residents, but also guests of the city. The target audience includes various socio-demographic groups, the main of which is youth.

Analysis:
Based on the urban development analysis it is customary to preserve the existing important urban development functions, because the main relationships are the optimal solution, and to solve the problematic ones, in particular to ensure the quality of the species disclosure points. The analysis of the established functions and social survey showed the importance of the historical significance of the territory for residents and the city, therefore history is an important part of the concept.

Solutions to the main problems:
Concentrating different functions by zones allows to divide the flow of visitors by interests. Instead of a mono-space with a couple of functions, we proposed zones for children, youth, middle-aged people and retirees: an area for active and quiet relaxation, children’s and sports playground, dry fountain, summer cinema, terrace by the stream.
Added vegetation of the middle layer (before that it was completely absent), as well as vegetation of the upper and middle layer with colored leaves and flowers for a greater visual variety.
To increase the level of comfort, the issue of environmental safety has been resolved. The option of arranging access to the buildings of the surrounding buildings is proposed.

Technical information

The project uses these types of vegetation like Acer Ginnala, European Ash, Tuya Occidentalis Columna, Barberis Tunberg, Spirea white, Small-leaved linden, Amygdalus Triloba, Pennisetum Villosum, Cotoneaster Lucidus.
