New layer accented. Lapidary form. Compact stack.

Project description

Klecany. In the north of Prague. Barracks at its edge. A former one. A small film studio, which is already operating in the area today. The object intended for this activity gained many building layers during its use. As a result, the building and especially the interiors have lost their generous character.

Cleaning. Reorganization of interiors. Construction completion. The material solution of the whole set responds to the original union of objects. It complements and further develops it. Diverse views and vistas are ubiquitous. Unifying materials, ranging from large units to minimalist details, promote integrity and readability for the observer.

The object acquired a similar character in its internal environment. The cleaned halls are complemented by a system of smaller volumes, which are inserted into the interior. These volumes provide comfortable facilities for users while respecting the generosity and airiness of the original halls.

Technical information

The existing reinforced concrete substance is complemented by various building structures that meet the specific requirements of the site. The unifying element of different materials is their color.
