The factory was built by Architect Cengiz Bektaş in 1972. It has been abandoned since 2010. The Purpose of the Project is to publicize this factory building and make it a new focus area and reuse it.
The building consists of 3 main blocks. The first block part of the factory was functioned as the Printing Industry Bazaar and the 3rd block part was used as the Workshop and Event Hangar. By removing the roof panels and walls in the second block, they were left only as structural elements, thus ensuring a semi-open square supported by workshops and the bazaar. And it is also aimed to make the factory building, which is a single mass, to become permeable by arranging.
The factory was built with a 6x33 meter modular system. Block 1 and Block 2 have a concrete structure and a steel roof system. The third block is made of steel structure and roof system. While the factory was being re-functionalized, these values were preserved and reconstructed faithfully.
A new top cover of 6x15 meters was designed and placed between the factory and the recreation area.
