Student Centre near the Faculty of Valle Giulia in Rome

Project idea

The theme of the project is developed mainly from a single volume subsequently emptied into the interior to create a courtyard and cut to identify the inputs in connection with the pre-existence. It consists of three blocks that house within them different functions to accommodate the needs of students of architecture.

Project description

The project lot is inserted in the vicinity of the faculty of architecture Valle Giulia in Rome in the valley of academies. Given the importance from a landscape and historical point of view of the area, I tried to relate as much as possible the building with the pre-existing and at the same time I tried to create a more intimate space for the students.

Technical information

The relationship with the context is evident from some fundamental aspects: the building doesn't dominate the context but keeps at a much lower altitude and tries to take back the color of the materials.
