Project idea

The main idea of the project was to create a cultural center that included multiple buildings with different functions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. My goal was to achieve architecture that is open and tangible as possible to the community and that is shown in the curved geometry that creates a building that is accessible and recognizable from multiple directions. In addition i wanted people to interact easily with one another.

Project description

A cultural center that includes four buildings such as a Mosque, library, exhibition and an auditorium. All buildings attached to one another in different ways.

Technical information

Mosque building: it is floating from the ground ( 6m above the ground) raised by load bearing walls and columns to represent the importance of the mosque among all these buildings in our religion. Ground floor is an outdoor public area. FF is the men's praying hall and SF is the women's praying hall.
Auditorium: it has 2 floors
Library and exhibition: Each have 3 floors and linked together in the first floor.
