Project idea

The set consists of 2 three-storey townhouses with a total of 6 apartments and common parking in the basement. Each apartment has one to two parking spaces.Objekt was designed for land on the outskirts of Brno (Сzech Republic). The land is sloping to the north. Above all, it is the breaking of individual objects into smaller masses, which are correspondingly connected. The division of materials provided the opportunity to create terraces while meeting the requirements of maximum privacy of the population. Each apartment has its own terrace. There are sliding slats on the facade that shield the southern, eastern and western facades. The objects are mirror-like. The staircase cores are located in the north. Each floor is one apartment. The space in front of the house is used for the main entrances, entrance and there is parking for publicity. The space behind the house is shared, there is a small playground, seating area.

Project description

The designed plot is located in the city district of Brno Lisen. The nearest surrounding buildings are mostly two or three-storey family houses with gable. East of the plot is Marianske udoli. As for civic amenities, there are small shops, bus stops nearby and public parking is available east of the property. The walls are flat-roofed, they are three-storey townhouses, the height of the new building corresponds to the urbanistic contrast of the place.

Technical information

The buildings are designed as a wall system made of ceramic blocks. In the basement there is a combined supporting system, columns and girders in both directions. The columns are welded with dimensions 300x300 mm. The ceiling is made of MIAKO inserts.
