Rehabilitation offer of the village Lchashen

Project idea

The village of Lchashen is located on the northern steep slope of the Geghama Mountains, towering above the surrounding territory. In the eastern part of the village, there is a historical place, which is one of the most important archaeological monuments found in the territory of modern Armenia.
The idea of the project was to connect the main historical sides, and divide the village with four main public spaces. These spaces will satisfy not only the needs of the villages population, but also will bring tourists to the village.

Project description

It is really important to bring our villages to life, especially now when people tend to live in the urban areas rather than in the rural. The main reason for that are the absence of working areas, and people’s migration because of that. I chose this village, because of its historical past and value.
The main reason of the project was to make the village a place where tourists and other people will be able to know about the historical past of the village. Also, to make the education of the village better, and give an opportunity for the agriculture and traditions to rise. With this project the village Lchashen will become a touristic center, and the employment in the village will become higher.

Technical information

With this project the village Lchashen will be divided into five main areas;
-residential buildings,
-greenhouses,
-guest houses, craft center and museum,
-art center,
-trade center.
Also, the main historical sides will be connected and it will be easier to find them.
