Technical information

BUILDINGS
The project consists of 2 buildings. The main structure is the art and design structure, the other is the learning center. These two structures are connected by the Cultural Street, which acts as a network. Both buildings are reached after entering the Cultural Street. From the second floor of the Art and Design Center, you can reach the roof of the Learning Center, the roof garden, and from there the activity steps to the garden. Since the front of the project is opposite to the main street and many shopping malls, a challenge was achieved on the front facade.
ENTRANCE
There are two different entrances in the project that distinguish them as pedestrian and vehicle & service entrances.
INTERIOR
While designing floor plans in both buildings, it was tried not to cut off relationships with all areas. Therefore, it was tried to establish a relationship between gallery spaces and usage areas. In the Art&Design Center Building, The exhibition areas were built with glass facades rather than a closed area, allowing visitors from different parts to see the interior. In addition, exhibitions and moving (sliding) panels meet with the visitor in the temporary exhibition area. In the Learning Center, In the learning center, libraries are designed as areas that see the gallery space on different floors rather than the row of books in a row. There is a shelter and a warehouse in the basement that allow the connection of two structures.
EXTERIOR
Project is a steel structure project. Glass was used on the facades to minimize artificial light. Composite panels were used on the exterior to reduce the appearance of steel columns. At night time, legibility of the facade was provided with spot lighting behind each column.
