Project idea

Chinese brush painting and calligraphy distinguish themselves from other cultures' arts by emphasis on motion and change with dynamic life. The design of the museum is combined from those three concepts and this collage. When visitors first inside the museum will see a huge artificial mountain that can give an immersive feeling to them which they look like is a part of a huge painting with a misterty feeling, provide a new perspective to interact with Chinese brush painting. The museum has an immersive design in the interior let the visitors immerse into the art painting and can fell them on a different perspectives. The media forms are different, and the purposeful actions and behaviors of the people will bring visual changes to the works of art.

Project description

This museum provides a special place to exhibit Chinese brush painting. This museum can promote Chinese brush painting culture to the international. Inside the museum provide a Chinese painting workshop, public space and become a landmark for painting lovers. This museum also can be an important place to store valuable Chinese paintings in Hong Kong.
