Project idea

The design idea of the building was derived from the geographical nature of the surrounding area, which is a desert environment.
The exterior cladding took the shape of the sand mountains , and the building became the environment in which the project is located.

Project description

The project is a comprehensive theater in the village of Qadeya entertainment in the south of the city of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.

This project aims to create a theater that can accept all the arts and celebrations that can be set up in this theater (wrestling - motorcycle shows - theater show - concerts - circus)
With the addition of an administrative building and non-permanent exhibitions
This project aims to create easy access to the user and also the attention to accessibility for people with special needs

Technical information

we use a space truss system for the structure of the building

winch mean ( space frame or space structure (3D truss) is a rigid, lightweight, truss-like structure constructed from interlocking struts in a geometric pattern. Space frames can be used to span large areas with few interior supports. Like the truss, a space frame is strong because of the inherent rigidity of the triangle; flexing loads (bending moments) are transmitted as tension and compression loads along the length of each strut. Steel space frames provide great freedom of expression and composition as well as the possibility to evenly distribute loads along each rod and external constraints. With these features, steel space frames can be used to achieve also complex geometries with a structural weight lower than any other solution. The inner highly hyper-static system provides an increased resistance to damages caused by fire, explosions, shocks and earthquakes. Space frames are modular and made of highly industrialized elements designed with a remarkable dimensional accuracy and precise surface finish )
