TECH PARK SOFIA WEST - OFFICE BUILDING

Project idea

In recent years, Sofia’s territory has grown in southeastern direction and my aim is to balance its development – I hope that this project can be seen as an example for the usage of Sofia’s northwestern potential. In continuation of the Urban planning project, this project presents an office building, developed with the same mindset - to stimulate more people to visit the territory as it has a quite important location in the Tech Park.

Project description

As stated before, a primary aim of the project is to keep the Tech Park open for public. Therefore, the developed office building with its key location has two passageways that are leading to the Cultural Center and the park/recreation zone. Those passageways divide the building into three sections in which there are office areas. The ground floor is filled with retail shops for the open public and restaurants and coffee places for the people working in the offices.

The retail shops are designed so that they can be accessed from the open-public zones. There is a restaurant and a coffee place for the employee of every office section. On the last floor of every section there is a multipurpose room for corporate events.

We seek comfort for the people working in the building. Therefore, every office floor has sun-shading panels that are adjusted from the inside. This will result in the different position of every panel. The current facades simulate a possible variation.
