conference center

The goal of the competition is to transform the premises of the castle into spaces that the university, in cooperation with the municipality of Zahrádky and the Liberec region, could use as a conference center, including accommodation facilities, a municipality information center and a center for leisure activities. In other buildings (especially the orangery, and the farmhouse), we expect to place a cafe or a small restaurant.

The announcer of the competition is the Charles University.

INNOVATIVE SOLUTION PRIZE

Is there any limitation regarding the number of students as members of the group?

There is no limitation regarding the number of students in the group.

The submission should include the restoration plan and the interior intervention or only one of them? (since from what we saw, generally you divided them into categories)

Both should be included. Most of the buildings are in bad condition and will require complex reconstruction (e.g., the castle was damaged by fire), but you must take into consideration the level of detail you use, as this is just a conceptual design.

Is there any zip folder where the cad files layers are in english?

New file with CAD files that have English layers, there will be combination of Czech and English name was prepared. This file will be uploaded to the competition website in the coming days. Please also see the attached file. But remember, there could be differences between the methods of displaying/drawing construction in your country and ours.
