Idea projektu

On the Syrian coast in the city of Latakia and on one of the mountains overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, a tourist mountain resort is intended to be designed to receive tourists after the end of the civil wars in Syria, as Latakia is a historical city known for the Ugaritic civilization, so there must be tourist places that provide an enjoyable place for tourists. The project includes playgrounds, an aquarium, chalets, sports clubs, markets, swimming pools, restaurants, and a 4-star hotel that forms the core of the project (it contains 50 bedrooms, including large suites, restaurants, an aquarium, video game halls, a wedding hall, cafes, meeting rooms, a sports club, and other service rooms).

Popis projektu

The hotel concept mimics the project's landscape. The hotel gradually shrinks to mimic the shape of the mountains behind it, and its shell mimics the torrents of water flowing from the top of the mountains to the bottom, all the way to the sea. Most of the bedrooms are distributed on the east and west sides. The east side overlooks the mountains and valleys, while the west side overlooks the Mediterranean Sea.
On the ground floor, there's a reception hall and a security area. There are waiting areas, a fast-food restaurant, and a drinks bar on either side of the door leading to the outside (the hotel's private area). On the right side of the ground floor are the commercial areas. The left side is separated by a private door leading to the administration area and a private door to the gym, which includes stairs to the lower floor, where there are bathrooms, showers, and a sauna for the gym. On the first floor, there's a restaurant, a video game room, and a terrace with pools and dining tables overlooking the sea. On the other side, there's a multi-purpose hall for weddings and meetings, a beauty salon for men and a beauty salon for women, and service rooms. The second, third, and fourth floors feature bedrooms and private suites.

Technické informace

The project site was excavated and filled without damaging the mountain topography. The hotel was located on a flat area of land. The hotel is fully constructed using a structural frame system (reinforced concrete). The shell is made of foam, which is lightweight and coated with durable insulating materials.
