Idea projektu

The concept of the hotel's form is based on Zen philosophy, which embraces the beauty of simplicity, imperfection, and interaction with nature. The generation of the form reflects this approach by transforming a simple cube into a structure that creates harmony between functionality and aesthetics. The openings and natural lighting symbolize transience and the continuous connection between the interior space and the external environment, making the building a reflection of peace and tranquility in relation to both humans and nature, which is the ultimate goal of this philosophy.

Popis projektu

The project is a high-class hotel with the comfort and services of a 4-star hotel, located in the city center of Prishtina, primarily serving business-oriented clientele.

The hotel must accommodate 100 guests, offering high-quality services, modern amenities, and spaces that meet international 4-star standards. It is located in the Kalabria neighborhood, near the main bus station, with direct access to the main road, making it highly accessible to a wide range of clients.

Our objectives were to create a welcoming space for guests that balances functionality and aesthetics, while also complying with local and international regulations and standards.

The hotel consists of 51 rooms, including:

30 standard rooms (with single or double beds),
15 suites,
6 rooms designed for guests with disabilities.
Beyond accommodation, the hotel includes a business zone, which features:

Private meeting rooms,
A coworking space,
A conference hall with a capacity of 200 people and partitioning options,
A lounge area for external guests.
The wellness zone includes a spa and fitness center.

For recreational spaces, the hotel offers a restaurant and café, accessible to both external and in-house guests.

Other essential facilities include a reception area, lobby, and a day lounge to enhance the guest experience.

Technické informace

The structural design of ARYA Hotel integrates a skeleton construction system with metal construction to achieve stability, flexibility, and modern architectural aesthetics. This combination allows for large open spaces, durability, and efficient load distribution.

1. Skeleton Construction System
The primary structural framework consists of reinforced concrete columns and beams, ensuring high stability and resistance to seismic activity.
This load-bearing system allows for a clear separation between the structure and functional spaces, enhancing flexibility in interior organization.
The core vertical elements (such as elevator shafts and stairwells) are made of reinforced concrete, providing structural anchoring.
2. Metal Construction System in the Restaurant
The restaurant features a metal construction system, enabling large open areas without excessive internal columns.
The structure is supported by steel columns and beams, forming a lightweight yet strong framework.
The roof structure incorporates steel trusses (kapriata) to ensure effective load distribution and architectural adaptability.
The facade system consists of metal brackets and horizontal beams, holding glass panels for enhanced transparency and lighting.
3. Trusses (Kapriata) for Facade and Floor Support
Steel trusses provide structural support for both the facade and the glass floors, ensuring stability and an open, modern aesthetic.
These elements contribute to horizontal stability, allowing for larger glass sections and enhancing the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The trusses integrate seamlessly with the corridor structure, supporting the glass floor sections while maintaining safety and structural integrity.
4. Structural Glass Floor in the Corridor
A glass floor is included in sections of the corridor on each level above the ground floor, creating a visually striking and modern effect.
The glass floor is made of laminated, tempered glass, designed to withstand high loads while maintaining transparency and elegance.
Metal framing and trusses provide essential support, ensuring weight distribution and stability for a safe and durable walking surface.

The structural system of ARYA Hotel combines reinforced concrete and metal construction, optimizing strength, flexibility, and aesthetic appeal. The skeleton system ensures overall stability, while the metal framework in the restaurant and facade elements allows for spacious, open designs with modern aesthetics. The glass floors, supported by steel trusses, enhance the visual and functional experience of the interior spaces.
