In a context of tumult and division emerges a project that embraces Beirut's tormented past to shape a resolutely different future.
In the heart of this metropolis once ruptured by the Civil War of 1975, the goal is to restore Social Anarchy through the flourishing expression of Culture.
This innovative project aims to transcend the scars of the past by creating spaces where Art, Music, Dance and Creativity can flourish, thus catalyzing an unprecedented Social Rebirth.

Popis projektu

This project translates the emotional trauma experienced by the land into a tangible, physical impact that dictates its form. The scars of history, conflict, and loss are inscribed into the landscape, shaping its very essence. Beneath this reshaped terrain, the project houses essential urban functions that recall the spirit of old Beirut—retrieving elements from the city's past and reintroducing them into the present. These spaces serve as a living memory, reconnecting the community with the Beirut that once was, before upheaval reshaped its identity. Through this architectural intervention, the project becomes both a witness to the past and a framework for healing, embodying resilience through design.

Technické informace

The project is constructed with a symbiosis of white concrete, glass, and corten steel.
