Idea projektu

The main idea was to create a project delivering three most important aspects of any embassy: safety, represesentativeness and functionality. Project is based on a simple closed plan shaped in U letter, allowing to offset the buildings from the plot boundry on a safe distance creating a safe representative garden inside.

Popis projektu

The project consists of five buildings: the official embassy building, visa premises, residence, appartments for embassy stuff and local workforce biulding. Rooms and spaces of each biulding are desined according to the specified requirements. Each building have a separet entrance from the ground level. Every building except the local workforce building have also entrance from the underground parking area. Official embassy building have simple plan, representative spaces and meeting rooms are placed on a ground floor and all the offices are placed on a first floor. There are three sections of an office space: one part which is separated by the door, second part with offece without the window and situated inside the building and last part placed ona east sidfe of buildings. From representative spaces in a building there's easy acces to the representative gardens inside the site, creating safe space for embassy guests. Private garden for a stuff is designed in more free way outside the letter U complex.

Technické informace

Site is fenced from each side. The road with bariers leading to the embassy underground garage is located on a west side of a plot. There are also parking places provided for the embassy visitors outside the wals area on a south-west side.
As a first step to prevent overheating the insides of buildings on facades there are used simple although effective sunblocking solutions. Thery were designed in concidered way in dependency of the world side that facade is facing. Another sustainable solution that can be proposed in a building are solarpanels installed on a roof. Another solution is to collect rainwater and reuse grey water in a proper way.
