This project involves the design of the “ARCHITECTURE MUSEUM AND ARCHITECTURE RESEARCH INSTITUTE” located within the campus of Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University. The primary objective of the project is as follows: ''Interactive'' museum design centers the visitor within the content experience, making them a partner in the storytelling process. An interactive architectural museum could be structured as a non-linear system, allowing visitors to customize their experiences based on individual preferences. Within the museum, visitors encounter different routes, structured around station points akin to stops on a train. At these stations, infographics and interactive elements provide the visitor with the opportunity to choose their path, personalizing their journey through the space. This approach fosters a sense of exploration and discovery, involving the user in emotional and cognitive interactions. Through applications of mixed reality and cyclic path structures, visitors engage in an active learning process as they navigate and explore these paths independently.
In this design, each unit is envisioned as a “Station Point.” The central focus of the design revolves around workshop and activity stations. The design branches into two main arms from the central core: Exhibition Stations and the Architecture Research Institute Station. Supporting areas that enhance the design include laboratories, offices, a museum shop, and visitor service stations.
The building features a reinforced concrete foundation, and its structural system employs a space frame. Glass material is utilized on the exterior façade.
