Students of the Architecture Department at Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University have to share their faculty building with students from other departments. Since the faculty is only open during certain hours and space is limited, they need a space where they can work comfortably without time restrictions. Bolu is a quiet city with limited social opportunities. ARCHI-NETWORK aims to enhance both the working environment and social opportunities for the students of Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University.
Archi-Network was inspired by the concepts of Social Network and Sociometry. Based on social networking, this space will establish a communication network through actors and their connections. The space will function as a NODE and BRIDGE, allowing students to interact with each other and with architecture students from all over the country.
The main part of this project is the node center. Events are held here, and festivals are organized. Panels and activities take place in the amphitheater, which also functions as a seating area. There are two rooms available for student communities. In the café, students can meet their nourishment and relaxation needs. In the three group study rooms, students can prepare their presentations; in the two large studios, they can work on their projects; and in the model production studio, they can visualize their projects in three dimensions.
The construction of this building is made of reinforced concrete.
