Idea projektu

The idea was all about understanding the people, climate, and context. Arranging multiple forms was challenging enough, and the site itself was complex. However, when designing something for children, the design process ultimately turns into playfulness. Knowledge, creativity, and movement—that's what the project is all about.

The site was huge in area. Initially, I thought of designing the proposed programs with minimal space concerns in order to arrange the largest possible playgrounds. This was a school design and I had to design the playgrounds well. The site offered abundant natural resources. I prioritized preserving the existing waterbody to make sure the future generation aware of sustainability. However, the site faced challenges like security concerns, unhygienic toilets, no parking facilities. Incorporating these basic needs, I tried to make the school design functionally viable, making the learning environment friendly for children.

Technické informace

The school project provides learning environments for pre-primary, primary and high-school children. There are 13 classrooms in total, including a large semi outdoor learning space. Both the cafe and library are designed with two modes—indoor and semi-outdoor. Separate zones are designed for administration and multi-purpose fascilities. The labs are located on the first floor, near the high-school zone. However, the pre-primary and primary zones are placed on the ground floor.
