ARCHITECTURE IN A CONTEXT OF CHANGE: The Pursuit for A New Role.
The facility aims to create a state-of-the-art film production center in Tripoli through the utilization of renewable energy sources, green roofs, sustainable materials, and intelligent building technology. It will not only optimize energy consumption but also promote well-being. The goal of the Industrial Heritage Revival project is to transform the abandoned steel mills in Gandour into a productive and inspiring space while respecting its historical significance.

transforms an old hangar in Ghandour into a dynamic film-making hub, celebrating time travel by blending historical charm with futuristic innovation. Each film set represents different eras, creating a journey through history. Narrative arcs highlight the connection between past and future, while technological fusion combines historical authenticity with modern film-making techniques. Community engagement involves local historians, artists, and filmmakers, enriching the portrayal of each time period. This project creates a unique cinematic experience where past, present, and future converge.

Technické informace

The old hangar at Ghandour will be transformed into a dynamic film-making and cinema hub, blending historical charm with modern functionality. Inside, the dome theater will offer immersive experiences, high-tech studios will cater to film production, and courts will host workshops and events. An outdoor cinema will feature under-the-stars screenings, while exhibition spaces and a café will enhance the creative atmosphere. Outside, landscaped green spaces and pathways will create a welcoming environment. The project will integrate sustainable design and serve as a cultural center, engaging the community with events and film festivals.
