Idea projektu

Reconstruction of a community centre in a small village (Vesce) in the south of Czechia. The old building was built in the 70s and doesn't fit with the traditional architectural style of countryside southern Czechia as well as doesn't meet the requirements of today's society.
My goal was to create a project that reflects the place yet fulfils the needs of modern society. Therefore my main inspiration was the traditional farms of southern Czechia, with modern features. I decided to keep the original composition and foundations.

Popis projektu

• In the east part I kept the restaurant with the kitchen, above I added the 2nd floor with 4 rooms for accommodation.
• In the middle there is a large entrance hall which can also serve for the purpose of exhibitions.
• The main hall with backstage is in the west.
• Slanted roofs are covered with tiles made of perforated metal which allows natural light to pass through. The tiles from the outside look like usual roof tiles, but from the inside the roof appears to be just a large window. The roof includes a shading system
• The flat part of the roof is covered with greenery.
• Both the main hall and the restaurant have large sliding windows which can be opened in the warm months to connect the interior with the exterior
• In front of the centre there is a small park with benches and a small pond and a square for gatherings, markets and other events.

Technické informace
