The Sawa Lake Resort Project is located on the shores of Sawa Lake in Muthanana, Iraq. Situated on a terraced plot measuring 60m by 30m across three levels descending 3m every 10m
the resort features 12 individual units, each spanning 50 square meters over two levels. Each unit includes a kitchenette, toilets, living area, and a bedroom.
Additionally, the resort encompasses amenities such as a lobby, office, garage, and cafeteria. This project was particularly enjoyable as part of my first-year architecture school experience.
The shade is meticulously constructed with a robust steel framework, ensuring durability and strength. Each unit showcases a charming blend of wood veneer and sleek metal roofs, combining functionality with aesthetic appeal. The surrounding landscape is adorned with carefully arranged stones, interspersed with lush, picturesque trees that enhance the overall beauty of the environment.
