Idea projektu

The site is located in a scenic valley surrounded by mountains and dense forests. This area is famous for its rich natural landscape and attracts hiking enthusiasts all year round.
A railway and a river pass through the east side of the site, adding unique transportation and landscape elements to the area. The railway connects nearby towns and villages, while the river injects vitality into the entire valley. It is not only an important water source for local residents, but also forms many beautiful waterscapes.
There are also some historical buildings and sites around the site. The most famous of them is Schindler's factory, and there is also a historic textile factory. There is a historic church and a theater on the east side of the railway. When planning and designing the site, we used the larger buildings in the site as reference points, namely the Schindler Factory and the Textile Factory, and generated grids in two directions. The direction of the textile factory forms a certain angle with the direction of the Schindler Factory, so that this grid system can better adapt to the terrain changes and natural landscape of the site. The grid systems in these two directions are intertwined to form a complex and orderly geometric structure, which improves the overall coordination and beauty of the site. It ensures order and coordination in future development. At the same time, it was unexpectedly discovered that the church and theater buildings on the east side of the railway were also connected to the design site.
Based on the grid system generated in the previous step, we further designed and generated a series of squares of different sizes and directions in the site. The size of these squares is 80m x 80m, and this square is a building and a square. The size and direction of these squares are appropriately adjusted and optimized according to the distribution of the grid and the characteristics of the site. For example, we chose to build a pool around Schindler's Ark. Through this building generation method based on the grid system, we formed a series of squares in the site, which are not only flexible in direction, but also organically integrated with the natural landscape and historical buildings in the site. Finally, the harmonious coexistence of architecture and environment was achieved. In the integration stage of territory and architecture, we are committed to organically connecting the scattered and fragile block areas on the north and south sides, and making the superimposed blocks bite each other to achieve overall coordination and structural stability. The north and south sides are scattered and fragile. We connect them through various forms such as bridges and tunnels. Not only does it improve the accessibility within the area, but it also enhances the interaction between different functional areas. It takes into account the continuity of the landscape and the transparency of the line of sight Landscape, architecture, and square bite each other. When they bite together, it means that the community, life, and work are also connected together.

Popis projektu

Function:The museum and residence are divided into two plots, north and south. The museum is located on the north side and is a system consisting of the testimony museum on the ground floor, the event hall, and three existing important buildings. The south side is a five-story residential complex. The north and south parts are connected by the bridge pavilion.
Landscape:The design intends to connect the two sides and provide a new place for the villagers to live. Therefore, we put in squares with different themes. They are a triangular camping square connecting the two sides, a sunken square entering the cultural sequence (Testimony Museum), a monument square, an ark square, a memorial square for storing rings, and an activity square entering the residential sequence.

Technické informace

The entire urban design involves a variety of materials, from modern life with steel and glass, to memorial space materials with concrete, and the restoration of old buildings using masonry structures.
