The building features indoor office lobbies that open to semi-outdoor terraces, connected by stairs leading to additional terraces above or below. This creates a journey that weaves through vertical depths, promoting interaction and providing serene garden views. Curved lines enhance airflow, cooling the interior, while recessed glass surfaces prevent glare. The design integrates with the urban landscape, offering a tranquil pedestrian entry and a functional vehicular access point.

Popis projektu

The Teletalk Headquarters in Gulshan, Dhaka is a government-funded telecom company that aims to connect people
from different offices who work collaboratively through shared recreational spaces. The building design focuses on
promoting interaction and strengthening the work culture. When entering any floor, visitors are greeted by a lobby area
that provides a semi-outdoor space. Stairs lead to the semi-outdoor recreational areas on above or below floors. Reentering
the interior from the semi-outdoor space leads to another lobby area that serves as a public space where guests
can sit and employees can relax.
The design scheme emphasizes the journey of recreational spaces throughout the building, which are all located outside
and communicate with the building's surroundings. This creates a dialogue between the Teletalk headquarters and the
general public. The lines of the building are curved to improve the flow of air around the building and create comfortable
airflow through the semi-outdoor spaces. This airflow ultimately cools the building's interior. All glass surfaces are on
depth to prevent direct sunlight from reaching the glass, providing clear views of the outside. Most of the glass surfaces
face a garden view from the floor above or below.
Pedestrian entry is through secondary road so that vehicles do not disturb the humane character of the secondary roads
of Gulshan area where people gathers on break and recreate.Vehicular entry is through primary road to connect with the
traffic and commercial landscape of Gulshan area.
The Teletalk Headquarters in Gulshan, Dhaka is a unique example of a building designed to promote communication
and interaction within the workplace. Its emphasis on shared recreational spaces creates a sense of community and
encourages collaboration. The design also considers the building's surroundings, creating a dialogue between the
company and the public. By prioritizing the comfort of the building's occupants through the use of semi-outdoor spaces
and curved lines for improved airflow, the Teletalk Headquarters promotes a positive work culture that is essential to the
success of any organization.

Technické informace

The Teletalk Headquarters incorporates a cantilever structure, maintaining economic efficiency with 30% of the building cantilevered. The facade features smart louvers that track the sun's position, optimizing daylight penetration while minimizing glare. For unobstructed views, recessed glass surfaces are strategically placed, providing garden vistas and further reducing glare. This combination of smart louvers and recessed glass ensures both energy efficiency and visual comfort within the building.
