Idea projektu

The factory seems to slowly expand, much like mycelium or rhizome, gradually taking over the city and becoming a city itself, extending its "tentacles" to encompass more spatial organization around. Gardens, natural farms, technical areas of the factory, and beach infrastructure are placed beneath the "appendages" of the shell. One of them serves as a pedestrian elevated bridge over the nearby railroad, allowing for a quick and comfortable crossing of paths.

The shell has two levels - the upper one serves as a roof for the largest furnace section, while the lower one acts as a roof for other processes. Large windows in the shell's roof increase natural light, thereby reducing electricity consumption, making the factory even more sustainable and eco-friendly.

Administrative and public spaces (offices, coworking spaces, galleries) are positioned on different levels to keep the flows of workers and visitors separate. However, they are close enough for visitors to easily join tours and for workers to take breaks or enjoy cultural activities. Most of these blocks are elevated above the ground and positioned closely to the glass walls of the main factory space, providing a clear view of internal processes from almost any point.
