Idea projektu

Using Nano-Architecture to create a dialogue between nature & dwelling
inviting a harmonious interaction with the surrounding nature. Alessio Albi said; ‘’There is a poetic fluidity in the way the internal elements blend with the external, forging a seamless relationship between the built environment and the natural world. The result is an atmosphere where space loses its definite boundaries, and reality takes on a metaphorical depth. As well as having a gallery as part of this hotel which title is 'Creating Our Freedom', the gallery's design concept was bringing history to life & seeing the wished future, using light to tell stories, evoke emotions & engage audience in a sensory journey that illuminates the 'Palestinian Experience'.
Both the hotel and gallery followed the futuristic movement, immersive interactive & experiential designs, and integrating AI, VR, AR & Hologram technologies.

Popis projektu

This project's site is in the Rainbow Falls, Hilo Hawaii, being built above the waterfall itself. The building consists of 4 designed floors, the ground floor which is the lobby with waiting areas, and an organic skin care shop and a Lei workshop which blends the site's spirit into this hotel. The 1st floor is the suites floor, I only designed one suite room to show the idea, this room has a living area, bedroom with a walk in closet, and a private outdoor infinity pool. The roof floor is where the restaurant takes place. The finally the underground floor is for the gallery. The elevators were inspired by the ones in The Zeitz MOCAA art gallery in Cape Town, South Africa, and the waterfall in the center of the elliptical stairs was inspired by The Rain Vortex waterfall located in the heart of Jewel Changi Airport, which extends to the whole hotel floors. My main goal for the gallery was to let anyone who steps foot into it to have their own experience, by translating their ideas into the AI generating equipment and living it.

Technické informace

The whole curved structure is made of foam concrete, most materials were Nano-architected materials which enable unprecedented combinations of properties, for example damage tolerance, resilience to supersonic impact, and stimulus-induced reconfigurability at extremely low densities. Some of the flooring types used were Nano Epoxy Resin, Limestone pavers and Limestone Anthracite Porcelain. As for the gallery, everything starting from the ceiling to walls to floors were interactive and immersive which allowed me to accomplish my concept and vision and which allows the visitors to make their own visions and leave their print.
