Idea projektu

The project was designed to be a prominent landmark in Benghazi - Libya, it was inspired by ancient Rome and the colosseum in particular. The building's main shape is the circle because it provides a broad view for the rooms, the water canal in the site was incorporated into the tower by dividing it in half, which allowed air and natural light to flow throughout the structure and give rise to the hotel's name, "Apricus" which means full of light in Latin.
To give flora and lovely scenery inside the building, the building also features an open courtyard in the center. Almost all of the hotel's shapes and elements were carefully chosen and designed to work together.

Popis projektu

The project consists of 17 floors total, 120 rooms (20 suites & 100 rooms), an indoor pool, 2 restaurants and a courtyard.

Technické informace

2 Core systems were used in this building to hold the towers and it was calculated for the floors not to exceed 100m outside the core.
Prefabricated waffle slabs were used in the ground and first floor.
